Anthony

Head of Operations

Anthony is a company director at SBL Care Services as well as playing an active role as head of operations.

Anthony has over 15 years experience working within a range of services including crisis intervention and residential child care. Anthony begun his journey as a causal support worker before becoming a manager as part off a hugely successful Nationwide Crisis Service. Anthony has gone on to set up and establish SBL Care Services as an Outstanding provider.

Anthony has a wealth of experience and knowledge and understands that working as a team is key to Supporting Better Lives.

Company Director

David Halliday our Company Director of SBL Care Services grew up within the care system and intimately understands the challenges and emotional hurdles faced by young people in care. ‘My personal journey fuels my passion for creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive.
With personal and professional experience within the residential care sector, I am committed to fostering strong, meaningful relationships between caregivers and children. I believe that trust and connection are the cornerstones of effective care. Under my leadership, SBL Care Services emphasises personalised support, ensuring that each child feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
My unique perspective and unwavering dedication make me a compassionate advocate for children, striving to transform the care system into a place of hope and opportunity’.

Graham

Responsible Individual/Service Manager

 

Graham is one of the company’s responsible individuals/service managers. As well as taking a lead with delivering certain aspects of training including safety intervention and first aid.

 

Graham has over 15 years experience in residential childcare working up from a casual all the way to a outstanding registered manager and currently as a service manager for a large cluster of homes.
Graham has a wealth of experience and knowledge and constantly strives to support the lives of all the children within SBL Care Services.

Mike

Responsible Individual/Service Manager

Michael operates as one of the Responsible individual/Service managers for SBL and has been with us since the forming of the company.

Michael has over 20 years experience in the sector, starting as a casual member before progressing up to his current position .
This personal journey drives Michael to help SBL staff members improve and develop themselves, and he is a key part of our recruitment and development team.

As a previous outstanding manager himself, Michael is child focused, supportive, and drives standards forwards at every opportunity to ensure that children and staff alike have to tools to improve there lives and have a positive future.

Matt

Registered Manager for our ‘Elevate’ Multi-Build Service

Matt has worked within the social care setting for nineteen years, starting as a residential worker in a private children’s home and team leader at a Lancashire County council ran home before spending some time at a Lancashire High School, operating as the behaviour manager. Matt then went on to working with older children in the leaving care team before coming across to SBL Care Services as the first registered manager within the company.

Matt has been able to work with numerous staff throughout his time in the company and has developed them to be able to go on to team leader roles, deputy manager roles and also into registered managers.

Matt and his teams continuously strive to ensure all young people achieve their maximum potential and Matt has received outstanding judgements when the manager at Oxford House and also again on his first inspection with the Elevate service.

Matthew

Registered Manager for our ‘Inspire’ Multi-Build Service

Matt has worked with children in residential care for over seven years, his journey from a Casual support worker to Residential Support Worker, Team Leader, Deputy Manager, and now Residential Manager of a multi-building service has been shaped by a deep commitment to supporting young people. ‘In the homes I manage, we have consistently achieved outstanding ratings by focusing on positive outcomes for the children, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive in a safe and nurturing environment’.

As a Residential Manager, my mission is clear: to ensure that every child who walks through our doors is given the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their past experiences. By ensuring children feel valued and empowered to reach their full potential.
